Description
The Niglon AFDD6B1-16A is a 16A single-pole Arc Fault Detection Device (AFDD) that combines arc fault detection with the overcurrent and residual current protection of a standard RCBO, continuously monitoring the circuit for both serial and parallel arc faults.
Dangerous arcing — caused by damaged cables, loose terminals or worn accessories — is a leading cause of electrical fires and is often missed by conventional MCBs and RCDs. By detecting these faults and disconnecting the circuit, it adds an extra layer of fire protection in support of BS 7671.
